Gabriela Hearst is always exploring. She’s delved into Druids, ancient myths, and trailblazing women throughout history. Recently, she’s turned to Tarot, drawing a card every morning and recording the insights. The Lovers card from the Marseille deck inspired this collection’s color scheme—pink, green, and blue—instead of her usual black, white, gold, and red. It also shaped the photoshoot’s concept: the Marseille version of The Lovers features three figures (two women and a man) rather than the traditional pair. Hearst put her own spin on it, swapping in one woman and two men for the shoot—more power to her.

Powerful women are Hearst’s core clients—she notes that tailoring makes up 24% of her sales. To serve them better, she’s introduced a bespoke service at her Madison Avenue boutique and across her network. For pre-fall, she designed a cotton pantsuit, a fabric she usually avoids due to its high water consumption. But this cotton comes from a regenerative farm in Italy, giving the suit a crisp, fresh look. Some suit jackets were layered under bombers, creating a soft-power aesthetic.

As always, Hearst’s materials stand out—whether it’s the floral silk jacquard of a dreamy dress (inspired by her daughter’s drawing), the delicate beaded cashmere of a sweater and matching midi skirt, or the plongé leather of an M-65 field jacket. New this season is a reversible double-face cashmere coat in black and camel (also offered in burgundy and pink), adding versatility. Another debut: 100% recycled denim for jackets and jeans, featuring wool, enamel, and leather buttons that twist off for easy machine washing.
