Summer glam doesn’t always mean bold colors—sometimes the hottest trends are subtle. Take the latest K-beauty craze: rosewater nails.
“I love rosewater nails and do this look on Rosé all the time,” says Betina Goldstein, a nail artist and Chanel ambassador. “It’s like tinted lip gloss for your nails—just a hint of color while still looking natural.”
New York manicurist Julie Kandalec noticed the trend everywhere during a recent trip to Seoul. “Sheer shades like rosewater are the go-to because they hide nail growth lines,” she explains. Her favorite is Lights Laquer’s Just a Tint, but you can easily make your own: “Just mix a few drops of bright pink polish into a clear base. Pick a pink that matches your skin’s undertone—cool or warm.”
Goldstein also points to another variation gaining popularity: “rose bath nails.” Her technique? “Start with a sheer cream base, then layer a soft pink on top.”
