Before stepping onto the red carpet for the SXSW festival closing in London, Zawe Ashton has exciting news to share exclusively with Vogue: she and her husband Tom Hiddleston are expecting their second child.

For this special moment, choosing the perfect outfit was key. The British actress will showcase her baby bump in a stunning sky-blue silk crepe gown by Emilia Wickstead, featuring delicate frill details and paired with a flowing matching cape.

The choice is particularly meaningful because Ashton and Wickstead have been close friends and collaborators for years. “We met at the British Fashion Awards when she first dressed me,” Ashton recalls. “We had an amazing night and instantly connected. I’ve always loved her designs—they’re timeless yet modern, and you can feel the craftsmanship in every piece.”

Wickstead adds, “Dressing Zawe is always a joy, but this feels extra special. She wore one of our gowns during her first pregnancy, quietly glowing with her little secret.
