Welcome to Day 2 of Shark Week!

Today on the show, actress Wunmi Mosaku joins Chioma in the London podcast studio. They explore everything about Sinners—from how Wunmi landed the role to the powerful lessons she learned while playing Annie.

“My team told me, ‘Ryan Coogler wants to meet you for his next film.’ And I thought, ‘Ryan Coogler knows who I am?'” she recalls, thinking back to when she was first asked to audition. That opportunity led to Wunmi earning her first Academy Award nomination and winning her first BAFTA just last week.

Wunmi also shares why she decided to announce her second pregnancy at the Golden Globe Awards and launch her own maternity line, Iyadé, which means “mother has arrived” in Yoruba. “I want to be present. If I’m separating my mind from my body, I’m not truly welcoming the baby into this experience,” she says, explaining the challenge of keeping her pregnancy a secret. “It feels like you’re taking them for granted. They’re here with you.”

Plus, she gives a hint about what she might wear to the Academy Awards next weekend… Listen to the full episode above!
