Yesterday, Miley Cyrus received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. During an emotional speech, she mentioned her own song “Walk of Fame,” which ends with the line “you’ll live forever.”

“This star kind of stands for immortality, and even though I love that lyric, the fact that I won’t live forever is what creates the urgency that fires me up,” she said.

“What makes this star so special to me is that it’s built on dedication. A star isn’t something you win like a seasonal game. It’s not something you can chase or collect. It’s not something you make your next album for,” she added.

“My name is set in gold and pink terrazzo, and it’s fierce, fun, and fabulous,” Cyrus continued. “And I’m wearing Versace, handpicked from the atelier archives by Donatella herself, which makes it even more fun, even more fierce, and even more fabulous.”

Cyrus wore an Atelier Versace gown from the fall 2015 collection—a sexy, low-cut design that supermodel Heidi Klum had also worn that same year. But this dress was made for a true rock star: it was essentially a naked dress, made of black webbed material and embroidery with a criss-cross neckline. She paired it with studded stilettos. Her makeup followed her usual smoky, siren style, with hazy eyes and a nude lip. She wore brow-skimming bangs and tousled blonde hair.
