Jaime Álvarez believes sometimes you need to step back to reconnect. After nearly a year away, the creative director of Mans returned to the Madrid runway with a fall 2025 collection centered on fabric. His goal was to balance simplicity and complexity—achieved by designing menswear and womenswear separately. “In past seasons, we adapted men’s patterns for women, but this time we created a women’s pattern from scratch, entirely for them—exactly what our customers wanted,” said the Seville-born designer.

The suits, a Mans signature, now feature hand-stitched collars attached to the lapels for a sleeker look. These tailored pieces were paired with shirts and pencil skirts, reimagined with frills and pleats in shades of yellow, pink, deep aubergine, and navy blue. The fabrics played with contrast: “I wanted to mix the structured feel of cool wool, common in tailoring, with delicate materials like organza and chiffon,” Álvarez explained. Sheer dresses also presented a challenge due to the intricate tailoring they require—a testament to the brand’s meticulous craftsmanship.

This focus on detail fuels the label’s steady growth as it expands its audience. “Over the past year, we’ve seen more customers from Latin America choosing high-quality Spanish design,” he noted.
