Over the years, Barbara Palvin Sprouse has built her dream glam team. With hairstylist Owen Gould and makeup artist Tobi Henney, the model has created a timeless, celestial red carpet look. After a decade of working together on countless carpets, work trips, and glamorous events, it was only fitting that Barbara’s surprise pregnancy reveal at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival showed her at her most radiant.

Barbara Palvin Sprouse and Dylan Sprouse announced on Instagram on Thursday that they are expecting their first child together, and made the big reveal later at the film festival. Barbara wore a baby blue dress with a feathered hem and cradled her baby bump. Her skin was flawless and glowing with a soft bronzed contour, and her golden-brunette hair fell loose and voluminous.

“We both wanted the look to be flawless and classic—something we could look back on and feel timeless,” says Henney. “We both love natural, flawless skin. Not too heavy, of course. Barbara is European and I’m Australian, so we appreciate a more effortless, natural approach to most of the looks we do.” They both love a cat-eye flick of eyeliner and a pop of color on her cheeks. Lately, her beauty style has been inspired by the late ’90s, with cool-toned brown lip liners and eyeshadows.

For Cannes, Henney shares that Barbara wanted her look to be “an elevated version of the beauty look we do a lot.” She had pulled some images of a matte eye with cream on the lid and a cool brown tone in the crease. “The main feature we wanted to highlight was the lashes, because the carpet lighting and flashes are so strong, they really accentuate her beautiful eye shape,” she says.

Henney used some longtime favorite products. She cleansed Barbara’s skin with Bioderma, then massaged in Rhode Glazing Milk and Augustinus Bader cream. She used La Mer eye cream under the eyes for hydration. Saie Super Glow Gel in Warm Glow boosted her glowing skin, and the foundation was Armani Luminous Silk. Concealer was Nars Creamy Concealer, which helped brighten her complexion. To define her cheekbones and accentuate the outer eye shape, Henney applied Makeup By Mario cream bronzer and used the Westman Atelier Contour Stick.

I always overdirect sections for lift while keeping the surface really polished,” Gould says. Once the blowout was done, he refined the shape using a large-barrel iron on the mids and ends to create a subtle bend and movement: “Then I brushed everything out thoroughly so it felt seamless and expensive, not overly styled.”

To finish, he used Moroccanoil Dry Texture Spray underneath for airy fullness and separation, then locked everything in with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Strong for hold without losing movement or shine.

Humidity and wind are the biggest red carpet challenges at Cannes—the Croisette can get hectic. “The biggest trick is building structure into the hair,” explains Gould. “If the blowout foundation is right, the style lasts much longer.”

“You want shine, but too much slip can make the style collapse faster in humidity or wind,” he adds. Instead, he uses lighter layers of product throughout styling and finishes with a flexible but strong hairspray, like Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Strong.

“And honestly, a great red carpet hair moment should still move naturally in the wind. Sometimes those slightly undone moments are what make it feel the most beautiful.” A glam look that truly captured a moment.
