Mens menswear season will launch on January 13 with the Pitti Uomo trade show, followed closely by Milan Fashion Week (MFW) Men’s from January 16 to 19.
The lineup features several notable returns. Ralph Lauren is back on the Milan schedule, over two decades after his European runway debut there in 2002. Zegna is returning home following its one-off show in Dubai this past June. After a break following its major FW25 anniversary show, DSquared2 will also be back on the runway. The MFW Men’s schedule further includes Italian stalwarts like Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Paul Smith, Tod’s, Canali, Etro, and Bally, who will all present throughout the week. Giorgio Armani will host the brand’s first men’s show since the passing of its founder in September.
Milan’s rich presentation schedule, as usual, is led by refined tailoring houses such as Brunello Cucinelli and Canali. This season also welcomes new names including Bottega Bernard, K-Way, and Stone Island. The latter, joining the presentations for the first time, will feature an installation with visual media artist Ken-Tonio Yamamoto. Ferragamo is also renewing its focus on menswear, returning to the men’s calendar for the first time since 2019 with a presentation.
The FW26 season coincides with a special moment for Milan and the Lombardy region, as it overlaps with the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, which will be hosted jointly by Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo. The Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI) will launch an Olympics-themed campaign during MFW Men’s. It will feature items from the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland, and spotlight works from young brands on the calendar like Cascinelli, Ascend Beyond, Moarno, MTL Studio, Via Piave 33, and the LVMH Prize 2023 winner, Setchu. Setchu returns for its second Milan show, following its runway debut at Pitti Uomo earlier this year.
Carlo Capasa, president of the Italian Chamber of Fashion, is reinforcing the city's fashion future. At a press conference on Wednesday, he highlighted the brand incubator Fondazione Sozzani. Founded in 2016 by Carla Sozzani and Sara Maino Sozzani, and described as "the beating heart of the week," it will once again present its Fashion Hub showcasing young talent. Capasa also pointed to designers like Domenico Orefice, Simon Cracker, and Marcello Pipitone as emerging names to watch.
"Milan confirms its position as a central city for creative and men’s fashion, a place where identity, experimentation, and industry continue to interact," said Capasa. "At Milan Fashion Week, institutions, businesses, creativity, the production chain, and distribution work together to strengthen the global competitiveness of ‘Made in Italy.’ We continue to invest in the future by creating concrete opportunities for young brands and emerging talent, because the creative energy of new generations is a fundamental driver for the growth and evolution of our system."
