Photo London returns to Somerset House for its 10th anniversary edition, bringing together both emerging and established international galleries.

“We’re thrilled to welcome such a strong lineup of international galleries for our milestone tenth edition at Somerset House,” say founders Michael Benson and Fariba Farshad. “Some have been with us since the very beginning, while others are returning after a break to celebrate this special moment with us.”

This year, PhotoVogue photographer Bettina Pittaluga will showcase her work at Gallery 180. Known for her intimate and delicate portraits, Pittaluga’s exhibition marks the New York gallery’s debut at the fair.

Several long-standing exhibitors from the fair’s 2015 launch will return, including Robert Hershkowitz Ltd (Lindfield), Purdy Hicks Gallery (London) with a selection of women photographers, CAMERA WORK (Berlin) presenting masterpieces by Irving Penn and Chris Levins, and Bildhalle (Zurich).

Solo booths will feature ROSEGALLERY (Santa Monica) with Tania Franco Klein, winner of the 2018 Photo London Emerging Photographer award; Galerie Bacqueville (Lille) with David de Beyter’s series The Skeptics; Guerin Projects (London) with Robin Hunter Blake’s abstract works; Polka Galerie (Paris) with Sebastião Salgado; and UP Gallery (Taiwan) with Taipei-based artist Mia Liu.

Other notable participants include Peter Fetterman Gallery (Santa Monica); Amar Gallery, presenting works by Dora Maar and Stephen Shames; the Music Photo Gallery with iconic images of musicians like Bob Dylan and John Lennon; and Podbielski Contemporary (Milan), showcasing a visual dialogue between Middle Eastern artists Shadi Ghadirian (Tehran), Rania Matar (Lebanon), Steve Sabella (Palestine), and Yuval Yairi (Israel).

TurkishBank UK will bring galleries from the region, including Vision Art Platform, Kairos, and Simbart Projects. Belmond returns with the second installment of its Belmond Legends series, featuring an exclusive solo exhibition by acclaimed American photographer Colin Dodgson.

The fair’s Discovery section highlights emerging talents, with 20 galleries such as Mortal Machine Gallery (New Orleans) presenting Bee Gats’ raw portraits of Miami’s underground; Victoria Law (London) with Lucia Pizzani’s exploration of colonialism and nature; Contour Gallery (Amsterdam) featuring Margriet Smulders’ large-scale floral tableaux; and Roman Road (London) showcasing Polina Piech.

Emerging artists will also be supported through Positions, an initiative curated by Maria Sukkar, arts patron and founder of the ISelf Collection. This year’s lineup includes Adam Rouhana, Giulia Mangione, Tim Rudman, Roberto Conde, Bibi Setareh Manavi, Kalpesh Lathigra, and Aikaterini Gegisian.
