We’re in the thick of the fall/winter 2026 menswear shows in Milan and Paris, so it was the perfect time for GQ’s global fashion correspondent, Samuel Hine, to join us on The Run-Through!
Sam is a mainstay in menswear and writes the popular GQ newsletter Show Notes. He shared all the trends, red carpet moments, and shows he’s most looking forward to, just before jetting off to Milan.
Discussing Ralph Lauren’s first menswear runway show in two decades, Hine told Nicole Phelps, “Ralph’s business has never been bigger than it is right now. In recent years, the culture has swung firmly back in Mr. Lauren’s direction, and now Ralph is everywhere.” Other Milan highlights included Prada, Zegna, and Armani, along with 2025 LVMH Prize winner Soshi Otsuki and designer Shinya Kozuka, who presented at Pitti Uomo in Florence.
Then, in Paris, all eyes are on Jonathan Anderson’s Dior once again. “The reason we can’t stop talking about him, thinking about him, and writing about him is because he’s very, very good at keeping people guessing,” Hine said. He expects to see more of the “preppy classicism” from Anderson’s Dior Men’s debut in June. Another major moment will be Véronique Nichanian’s final show for Hermès after 37 years as artistic director.
Hine also touched on what’s next for GQ, following the news that global editorial director Will Welch will be leaving the magazine on February 15—and he hinted at what we can expect from this year’s GQ Bowl.
