Finally, when New Year’s arrives, she’s off to celebrate in Aspen or St. Barths. “Our customers are jet-setting everywhere this time of year,” Hessel Cohen says.

Naturally, the brand’s new resort collection caters to all these occasions. There are evening dresses and gowns perfect for Christmas parties or black-tie events, many featuring shimmering stars in gold or ivory hues. Inspired by Venice’s opulent Ca’ d’Oro and Ca’ Rezzonico palazzos, the designs include a soft white tulle gown with beaded stars and a sleek black dress with gold sequins—both ideal for a masked Venetian ball. “Our customer turns to us for standout event dressing,” Hessel Cohen notes.

While Loveshackfancy is famous for its silk bias-cut dresses, this collection also explores a more relaxed side with knitwear—timely, given the brand’s new Aspen store and upcoming Chicago location. Metallic knit dresses and miniskirts come paired with cardigan shrugs, and there’s even a Fair Isle sweater reimagined in the brand’s signature whimsy.

For New Year’s Eve, the lineup offers mini dresses covered in gold sequins or pink floral paillettes, plus a pastel disco-ball maxi dress with a deep-V neckline and rhinestones. A powder-blue bohemian set and a feathered white ensemble are perfect for beachside celebrations.

Some designs skew youthful—like a tartan minidress with a bow hem or a tutu-inspired pink frock—but that’s no surprise, given Loveshackfancy’s strong following among pre-teens, teens, and college students (a 2021 Wall Street Journal headline even dubbed their dresses “The New Tween Status Look”).

That said, Hessel Cohen has noticed a growing clientele of more sophisticated shoppers. To cater to them, the brand now offers higher-end eveningwear, including one dress priced at nearly $1,800—no bows included.
