Leave it to styling expert Andrew Mukamal to create the perfect nostalgic press tour for Lindsay Lohan.

At the London premiere of Freaky Friday 2, Lohan revisited her iconic wedding guest look from the original 2003 film—a lavender lace-trimmed dress adorned with floral appliqués and sequins. This time, she and Mukamal gave the early-2000s design a modern twist, collaborating with designer Ludovic de Saint Sernin for the update.

De Saint Sernin reimagined the dress in his signature chainmail fabric, replacing the spaghetti straps with a rhinestone-embellished halter neckline that cinched under the bust for an empire waist. The designer also echoed the original lace details with silver rhinestone floral patterns along the bodice and a matching trim at the hem.

Lohan and Mukamal went all out in their tribute to her Freaky Friday character, Anna Coleman. She accessorized with a red jeweled Judith Leiber bag shaped like a guitar—a miniature version of the one Anna plays in her band, Pink Slip.

This wasn’t Lohan’s only nod to the film. Earlier in the week, she wore a Pink Slip T-shirt with a black leather miniskirt. But her style homages didn’t stop there. For Good Morning America, she channeled The Parent Trap twins Annie and Hallie in a yellow plaid Balmain tweed set and a Roberto Cavalli cheongsam.

With such a memorable film career to draw from, Lohan had plenty of inspiration—and no one better than Andrew Mukamal to bring it to life.
