First came mall goth, then beach goth—now Jenna Ortega is bringing us boho goth.
The Wednesday cast headed to Sydney, Australia, to promote season 2, and even a visit to Bondi Beach didn’t stop Ortega from sticking to her signature black leather. But yesterday, she and her stylist, Enrique Melendez, switched things up.
For an event called “Outcast Assembly” on Cockatoo Island—alongside co-stars Emma Meyers and Gwendoline Christie, plus executive producer Tim Burton—Ortega expanded her gothic wardrobe. She layered a dramatic black-and-white faux fur coat from Valentino’s Resort 2026 collection over a black lace-trimmed midi dress. Instead of Alessandro Michele’s green lace tights and leather beret, she opted for something more… Wednesday.
On her way to the island, she carried a black Valentino Garavani Panthea bag—a patchwork leather design with chunky gold chain handles and a studded shoulder strap. She also re-wore her knee-high Miista lace-up boots (previously seen at a Wednesday screening in New York), complete with a square toe and angular wedge heel. (Her best accessory? The wired headphones nearly swallowed by all that faux fur.)
While she’s given us plenty of Wednesday Addams-inspired looks—mixing lace, faux fur, and bold boots—Jenna Ortega could just as easily pass as Penny Lane’s goth cousin.
