Jenna Ortega is trading butter yellow for a soft champagne hue this fall.
At yesterday’s London premiere for Wednesday season two, the actress stepped out in a sheer, otherworldly Ashi Studio couture gown from the fall 2025 collection. The dress featured a peplum-style column silhouette with spiraling fabric that resembled burnt paper, paired with a sheer, membrane-like skirt. Her gothic glam look was complete with an alien queen braid, bleached brows, and a deep wine-red lip—courtesy of hairstylist Cesar Deleon Ramirez and makeup artist Mélanie Inglessis.
For the afterparty, Ortega stuck with the champagne theme, swapping her couture gown for a silky slip dress with a ruffled scoop neck that skimmed her calves. She kept accessories minimal with a delicate silver pendant and paired the look with pointed black slingback stilettos featuring a red heel, staying true to her gothic glam aesthetic.
Working closely with stylist Enrique Melendez, Ortega has perfected her red-carpet style, from oversized Simkhai tailoring to Courreges’ sleek leather and Ann Demeulemeester suiting. She’s even channeled Carrie Bradshaw not once, but twice, in archival DKNY and John Galliano for Dior.
Ortega seems to be loving her fashion experiments during the press tour—her latest Instagram post, captioned “Bury me in this Ann Demeulemeester,” says it all.
While summer was all about butter yellow (thanks to Gigi Hadid, Jennifer Lawrence, and even Kate Middleton), Ortega is setting the tone for fall with a more muted, hauntingly elegant palette—think Miss Havisham’s attic of faded gowns or a Victorian doll’s wardrobe.
