Foundations have changed more than any other makeup category in recent years. Trends have moved away from full coverage and matte finishes toward more natural, glowing looks. Even cult favorites like Armani’s Luminous Silk and Estée Lauder’s Double Wear have been updated with more skincare ingredients and finishes that fit a 2026 approach to getting glam.
Now it’s Bobbi Brown’s turn. Brown has always championed natural beauty, from her first brand to Jones Road, the makeup line known for products like Miracle Balm and the recent Blushing Stick—already a staple in Vogue team makeup bags. Her newest product, the Your Skin Foundation Stick, available today, follows the same philosophy. “It gives a satin finish that feels breathable and lightweight, while still offering medium-to-full coverage,” Brown tells me exclusively. “The result is a more modern, skin-like effect that evens out your complexion without hiding natural texture—it enhances the skin rather than covering it.” This is thanks to nourishing ingredients like ceramides, squalane, and sodium hyaluronate.
It joins a lineup that already includes complexion-enhancing formulas like the Just Enough Tinted Moisturizer, which offers light coverage for everyday, and What The Foundation for light-medium, buildable coverage. The Foundation Stick is similarly flexible: you can layer it for more coverage or swipe it on for a subtle wash of color. “We wanted to create a formula that delivers higher coverage without ever feeling or looking like a mask on the skin,” Brown explains. “The ingredients are designed with skin-first care in mind, helping to hydrate and condition while you wear it, so the finish stays smooth, natural, and comfortable all day.”
Jones Road Your Skin Foundation Stick
Why We Love It: Designed for medium-to-full coverage, this foundation stick is a more evening or occasion-focused option from Jones Road’s complexion range. A single swipe instantly veils the skin, but it glides on and melts in easily for a soft satin finish that looks like your best skin yet. Comfortable, nourishing (thanks to hydrating ingredients), and buttery-smooth—there’s nothing not to love.
Key Ingredients: Ceramide NP, squalane, shea butter, sodium hyaluronate

Getting the coverage just right was crucial for its creator and the biggest challenge in formulating the new product. “It either had too much or too little,” she says. The key was finding that balance. “This really is the perfect level of coverage if you want something fuller that still feels comfortable on the skin and never looks or feels like a mask.” One swipe is very natural, neutralizing redness and softly concealing imperfections, but never feels heavy, even as you build it up.
For best results, the makeup expert advises, “Prep your skin as needed.” This depends on your skin type. For dry skin, she stresses to “apply a light moisturizer first.” Those with normal to combination skin can “often skip this step, because the foundation contains hydrating ingredients.” I fall into the combination camp and found that even so, a gel moisturizer helped blur pores before the foundation, making it sit better on the skin.
British Vogue’s senior beauty shopping writer Ellie Davis before applying, after just the foundation, and then after a full face of natural makeup.
My instinct was to swipe it directly onto my face, starting at the cheeks and blending out with a brush. Brown, however, takes a slightly different approach. “Start around the nose and apply where there’s redness or uneven skin tones. You can spot-apply it as needed or use it all over your face for more coverage.” She suggests using “a face blending brush to diffuse the product directly from the stick and blend it up into the hairline for a flawless finish. Make sure the foundation meIt blends into your complexion so it looks natural and undetectable. Use your hands to gently press the foundation into your skin, helping it melt in for a more seamless finish.
As for picking the right foundation shade from the 30 options, there’s a quiz on the Jones Road website. “I worked on this quiz myself and tested it to make sure it gives the most accurate match for a wide range of skin tones,” Brown says. “We also include detailed swatch images, clear shade descriptions, and model photos so you can see how each shade looks on real skin before you decide.” I chose the shade Warm Linen for my full face, and Linen to brighten areas like under my eyes. My next purchase will be a darker shade, like Warm Honey, for contouring.
