Anyone who’s scrolled through Tracee Ellis Ross’s Instagram knows the actress is a true fashion icon. Her latest post? A photo of her in a burgundy, scaly Ferragamo mockneck minidress while guest judging on RuPaul’s Drag Race. But not every outfit needs to be that bold—and that’s okay. While promoting Black Mirror, Ross gave a masterclass in press tour style, offering wardrobe lessons we can all use.

Last night, Ross and her Black Mirror co-star Rashida Jones attended a SAG-AFTRA Foundation screening and Q&A. Styled by Karla Welch, Ross proved that layering is the perfect alternative to a heavy winter coat. She wore a mustard yellow Acne Studios corduroy blazer over a navy-and-white striped button-down and a navy turtleneck, paired with high-waisted navy trousers.

Yesterday, Ross also showcased two takes on the same idea. For Good Morning America, she chose a structured, sleeveless tomato-red top and a matching A-line skirt from Entire Studios, styled with black Bottega Veneta pumps, a brown suede Métier clutch, and chunky gold earrings.

Later, on Late Night With Seth Meyers, she switched to a sleek black Brandon Maxwell set—a long-sleeve top and midi skirt—from the fall 2025 collection. She swapped her gold jewelry for silver and her suede clutch for a Bottega Intrecciato bag but kept the same pumps. The finishing touch? A pair of bold black square glasses.

When it comes to press tour style, Tracee Ellis Ross is teaching us all how it’s done.
