This is Rosé’s second time at the Met Gala, and tonight she’s walking the red carpet alone. Her first appearance was in 2021 when she was 24, wearing Saint Laurent alongside designer Anthony Vaccarello as one of the brand’s ambassadors.

“Anthony was the perfect date for my first Met—I miss him this year, but I’m all grown up now,” Rosé tells Vogue. “I can handle this on my own, and I’m excited to be an independent woman on the carpet.”

Though she’s nervous for her second Met Gala, she’s aiming to stay cool, confident, and collected. Yesterday, she made a quick stop at Charli XCX’s concert in Brooklyn, even doing the Apple dance for the crowd at Barclays Center before shifting her focus to tonight’s big event. (During glam, she mentally rehearsed all her possible red carpet poses.)

This year, Rosé is wearing a sleek suit—a bold contrast to the sexy little black dress she wore in 2021. Her look was inspired by Vaccarello’s recent embrace of suiting—his Spring 2025 ready-to-wear show featured mostly tailored pieces, a surprising shift for a brand known for glamorous, edgy femininity.

“I was definitely inspired by the Saint Laurent shows,” Rosé says. “Anthony has been experimenting with suits for women, and I’ve been lucky to wear so many of his designs.”

But Saint Laurent wasn’t her only influence—she also drew from dandyism and iconic figures like André Leon Talley. Her all-black suit is paired with a dramatic cape, blending ALT’s signature flair with modern Saint Laurent sophistication.
