Stars, activists, and artists gathered at Planned Parenthood of Greater New York’s Spring Into Action Gala on April 24 to support reproductive rights. Among them was Olivia Rodrigo, the pop sensation known for speaking out against government restrictions on abortion access.
The 22-year-old singer was honored for her advocacy, using her platform to fight for reproductive freedom. Accepting the award, she reflected on the bond she shares with her fans: “The greatest privilege of my career has been connecting with women through my music. At my shows, I see crowds of young girls, and that connection is powerful. Being in a space where we can feel safe to be wild, emotional, and free is incredible.”
Rodrigo stunned in a white silk Gucci dress from the brand’s pre-fall 2025 collection, featuring delicate spaghetti straps fastened with a crystal horsebit detail. Instead of the runway’s oxblood boots, she paired the look with sleek silver stilettos, keeping her hair long and straight with a glossy pink lip.
She was also spotted with singer Lily Allen, who joined her for a surprise duet of Allen’s protest anthem Fck You at Glastonbury 2022—a performance dedicated to the Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe v. Wade*. Allen wore a sheer taupe crop top and an iridescent green maxi skirt, accessorizing with a quirky cookie-embossed bag.
Rodrigo’s speech took a poignant turn as she questioned the future her fans face: “What happens to those girls when they leave the concert? What world are they going back to? We live in a place that politicizes our bodies and denies us healthcare. It breaks my heart that because of oppressive laws, some of them might not get to chase their dreams like I have.”
Her activism extends beyond words. During her 2024 GUTS tour, she donated $2 million from ticket sales to reproductive rights organizations worldwide. She also launched Fund 4 Good, supporting nonprofits focused on girls’ education, reproductive rights, and ending gender-based violence.
A night of glitz—with a powerful purpose.
