Here’s the latest from Nili Lotan: corduroy, denim, shearling, cashmere, silk—whether it’s jeans, sweaters, jackets, or suits, Lotan has transformed them all into a soft, creamy off-white shade across both her men’s and women’s collections. This is a bold move for a designer best known for her blue jeans. While denim still dominates her sales showroom, for this season’s lookbook, Lotan simply said, “I was just feeling cream!”
Her instincts also led her to long, slim tailored jackets—”very ’70s,” she noted—moving away from the boxier, menswear-inspired cuts of previous seasons. A standout piece was a black velvet jacket with an Edwardian-inspired row of buttons, paired with what could become the next must-have pants: sleek, slightly roomy through the leg but fitted at the waist.
Throughout the lookbook, Lotan played with a refined palette of cream paired with deep bark brown or black, striking a balance between winter warmth and summer ease—or at least, summer optimism. Lotan isn’t one to overhaul her designs every season. She knows her customers want timeless pieces with a contemporary touch. “It’s like cooking,” she said. “You’re always working with the same ingredients—the best chefs just know how to make them taste better.”
