Lucky Blue Smith has a funny confession about his wife, Nara Smith. “Here’s a little secret—when Nara films her cooking videos, the side of the kitchen you don’t see is piled with dirty dishes and dried dough that takes me hours to clean,” he jokes. And he would know—because he’s the one who tackles the mess. “I’m so grateful,” Nara replies with a smile.
In their latest video for Vogue’s Now Serving series, where celebrities share their go-to recipes, the Smiths walk us through making a crispy chicken sandwich and rosemary mint lemonade. Staying true to their TikTok fame, everything—even the brioche buns—is homemade. (And soon, homegrown: The couple reveals they’ve started a garden at their new Connecticut home. “We just bought a house, so hopefully by next spring,” Nara says.)
Their playful banter keeps things lively—like when Nara teases Lucky for his love of drinking pickle brine (“No shame in that!” he insists). Or when they recall the time Lucky tried to take over cooking duties. “We had a baby a year ago, and he promised to cook for me,” Nara says. “One day, I woke up from a nap at 4 PM to the smell of something burning.” Lucky shrugs sheepishly as Nara adds, “The smoke alarm went off, and the baby woke up screaming!”
