If you missed Gap’s viral collaboration with Dôen last May, don’t worry—sisters Margaret and Katherine Kleveland are back, bringing their effortlessly chic designs to the American brand once again.
The first collection, featuring Dôen’s signature eyelet dresses, button-ups, and trousers, was an instant hit, selling out almost immediately and leaving fans begging for restocks all summer. It’s no surprise—with their charming prints and relaxed silhouettes that make looking polished effortless, the Kleveland sisters’ appeal spans generations and coasts.
The second collaboration launches on May 2, offering fresh takes on eyelet dresses, button-ups, and matching sets.
For this new capsule, the sisters wanted to ensure there’s something for everyone. Last season, they experimented with unisex pieces like a striped button-down (with crochet collar detailing) and a classic branded sweatshirt. This time, expect more of the same but in new colorways, including a red, blue, and white striped button-down. Boxy tees and eyelet camp shirts will also be available.
“We’ve always dabbled in menswear—many of our knits and shirts are gender-neutral,” Margaret tells Vogue. “At our office, these pieces often get snatched up by the guys—friends, brothers, partners, even our male staff. Gap does this so well, knowing their customer, and after our first collab, shoppers proved there’s demand for more unisex styles.”
Of course, Dôen’s signature feminine dresses and matching sets remain a highlight. This season’s standout pieces include a gingham print in both denim and cotton. A flowy gingham crop top pairs with a matching maxi skirt, perfect for work or a summer picnic, while a denim barn jacket gets a playful checkered update.
Don’t overlook the pleated trousers—though simple, last season’s wide-leg version was a bestseller. This time, they’ve been updated with a straighter leg, aligning with the return of cigarette pants and skinny jeans. “I’ll wear these all summer,” says Katherine. “Gap just nails their bottoms.”
The campaign features familiar faces for Dôen fans, including former Vogue editor Anny Choi and longtime brand favorites like Alex Noriet, Bruna Tenorio, Veronica Campos, Imani Randolph, Achok, and Kirsty Hume.
“Gap’s marketing team really understood our brand and the faces we’ve worked with,” the sisters explain. “Using our Dôen girls felt natural—it just clicked.”
The collection drops May 2.
