Last night in Los Angeles, the third annual Fashion Trust U.S. Awards celebrated rising designers while drawing a star-studded crowd—Hailey Bieber, Normani, Keke Palmer, and Julia Fox among them—who regularly showcase these talents.
This year also marked a special honor for Saint Laurent creative director Anthony Vaccarello, who received the inaugural Honorary Award for his influence on fashion. The award was presented by his friend and Saint Laurent ambassador, Hailey Bieber—who, naturally, wore the brand head-to-toe.
Bieber chose a deep eggplant-purple halter dress with ruching, cutouts, and a sheer skirt. Her nails matched the dress, while her makeup stayed subtle, save for a hint of lip tint (shade: ‘Ribbon’?).

“There’s purpose in every stitch,” Bieber said onstage. “Anthony, your journey proves fashion’s transformative power—we’re proud to celebrate you.”
A longtime Saint Laurent devotee, Bieber frequently wears the brand for red carpets, Rhode events, and everyday looks—think little black dresses, sleek leather bombers, and the custom gown she wore to this year’s Vanity Fair Oscars party. Even in Aspen, she unearthed a rare leopard coat for après-ski. And in Paris, she sat front row in a Saint Laurent mini to support Bella Hadid’s runway return.
Bieber and Vaccarello share a refined yet bold aesthetic, and the pair spent the evening deep in conversation. Elsewhere, Bieber mingled with guests like Normani in vintage Geoffrey Beene, Lori Harvey, and Ciara. Others embraced the night’s theme of individuality—Julia Fox in rose-detailed Marni with dramatic makeup and a towering black hat, while model Aweng Chuol wore Oude Wang and Kehlani chose Grace Ling.
Will Bieber’s aubergine moment inspire our spring wardrobes? Only time—and high fashion’s next wave—will tell.
