Chelsea Hansford has once again embarked on a journey around the world, this time finding inspiration in the vibrant city of Acapulco, Mexico for Simon Miller’s spring 2025 collection. The collection features a mix of knit sets, button-through linens, asymmetrical necklines, and fringe details, staying true to the brand’s signature aesthetic.

Drawing from the natural beauty of Acapulco, Hansford incorporated elements like raffia, inspired by the colors of the rocks and cliffside. The accessories in the collection were influenced by the fringed raffia umbrellas she encountered at the hotel, adding a touch of whimsy to the pieces. From knit intarsias to smocked poplin skirt sets, the collection pays homage to the palm trees with leaf prints and abstract designs hand-painted by Hansford’s husband.

One standout piece from the collection is the Lock Top, a versatile cotton poplin button-up with a back cutout and adjustable tie, now available in new striped colorways. Hansford describes it as a consistent best-seller for the brand, offering both style and functionality.

While Hansford’s understanding of her buyers’ preferences is evident, there is a call for her to push boundaries and explore new territories in future collections. Balancing staple pieces like the Lock Top with innovative and daring designs could take the brand to new heights, showcasing Hansford’s creativity and vision for Simon Miller’s future.
