Inspired by *The Thorn Birds*, the Fall 2025 collections from Lagos Space Programme, GCDS, Rick Owens, Edeline Lee, and Colleen Allen embraced a restrained yet evocative aesthetic.
Judging by the abundance of double-faced cashmere on recent runways, minimalism still holds sway in fashion. However, the trend is shifting toward an almost ascetic approach—less about “less is more” and more about deliberate renunciation, a look that resonates with both saints and sinners.
The forbidden passion of *The Thorn Birds*—where Richard Chamberlain played the magnetic priest Ralph de Bricassart—found echoes in the collections. Colleen Allen reimagined the cassock with a sleek black silhouette and a Roman-style collar (minus the white tab). Similar necklines appeared at Max Mara, Calvin Klein Collection, and Akris. Meanwhile, Marie Adam-Leenaerdt and Hodakova featured nun-like head coverings, while GCDS offered a men’s suit with a pink lace collar, channeling a rebellious altar boy vibe.
