Dagmar has always drawn inspiration from architecture and design. This made WSA’s Test Kitchen—with its glass tables and sleek metal furniture—the perfect setting for the brand’s fall collection breakfast presentation, which creative director Sofia Wallenstam brought from Stockholm to New York.
As an art collector, Wallenstam shared that a sculpted top in the collection was inspired by a Matthias van Arkel piece hanging in her home. Interestingly, it’s now the brand’s best-seller, even though just a few seasons ago, women were obsessed with Dagmar’s oversized blazers. Tailoring remains key—like a sharp charcoal pinstripe three-piece set (coat and pantsuit) and plenty of crisp shirting. But there’s also a new, refreshing softness, seen in a chiffon bow blouse paired with a sleek leather coat that doubles as a dress.
The collection subtly evolves the circular theme introduced for fall 2024, shedding last season’s stiffness with a lighter touch. Wool-felt pants with an elastic, tracksuit-style waist were styled with a matching blouson jacket, its side silhouette revealing a beautiful circular pattern. A cashmere cardigan wrapped in a chiffon pouf elevates cozy comfort to something effortlessly chic.
