Maxwell Osborne knows how to craft a great pair of pants—something fans of his work at Public School or DKNY will remember. That skill was on full display again in his fall 2025 collection for anOnlyChild. The lineup featured a range of trouser styles, from relaxed pinstripe slacks to even wider, billowing gray suit pants. Also included were his signature double-pleat trousers, with the outer folds finished in white—a style Osborne admits he wears daily.
This season, he extended that pleated detail to mini skirts, with the standout piece being an embossed leather version. He also incorporated it into shirt and tailored jacket sleeves, giving them a distinctive edge over similar designs on the market. On the other end of the spectrum, Osborne experimented with softer, more fluid fabrics to striking effect. After making waves with his bubble-hem silk T-shirt, he now applied the same sculpted shape to a pair of stunning dresses. The slip version was effortlessly chic, sexy, and just the right amount of unconventional—the bubble hem began at the knees, creating a mesmerizing movement. A more polished style featured puffy sleeves and delicate shirring along the front and back seams. Turns out, Maxwell Osborne doesn’t just make killer pants—he designs a mean dress, too.
