Sydney Sweeney sparkled on the Met steps, wearing a glamorous black Miu Miu dress to the 2025 Met Gala. Her look was a tribute to Hollywood legend Kim Novak, whom she’ll soon portray in an upcoming biopic.
The dress, with its high neckline and ornate brooch, mirrored Novak’s costume in the 1967 film The Demon of Women. Met Gala co-chair Colman Domingo, who recently graced the cover of Vogue, will direct Sweeney in the role—marking his directorial debut. While the outfit didn’t strictly align with the night’s “Tailored for You” theme, there was still a subtle connection.
Unlike some of her peers who attended after-parties, Sweeney seemed to have other plans. Later in the evening, she was spotted outside The Carlyle Hotel in an oversized white suit—complete with wide-leg trousers and a structured blazer. She paired the look with black platform heels, white socks, and oval sunglasses, her hair slicked back into a sleek bun with delicate curls framing her face. But the real star of the show? Her new puppy.
In April, Sweeney introduced her Instagram followers to Sully, her German Shepherd puppy. She shared, “In our two weeks together, he’s become my set best friend, bowling partner, nap buddy, fellow water lover, and travel companion.”
A longtime dog mom, Sweeney also has a pitbull mix named Tank (a past Dogue star) whom she’s had since she was 17. But last night, it was Sully’s turn to experience life in the spotlight, sporting a bright blue leash as Sweeney—currently filming Euphoria Season 3—strolled with him outside the hotel. Welcome to the Sweeney squad, Sully!
