That’s Mrs. Americana to you! Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged, and new details about her stunning engagement ring keep emerging.

The couple shared their happy news on August 26 with a joint Instagram post that read: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”

For her flower-filled engagement to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Swift chose a black-and-white striped Ralph Lauren halter dress, brown Louis Vuitton heeled sandals, an LV Damier bracelet, and a gold Cartier Santos Demoiselle Quartz watch with a diamond-covered face. But naturally, all eyes were on her ring.

Kelce collaborated with Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry to design the ring. He proposed with a brilliant-cut old mine diamond, rounded at the corners and set in a yellow gold bezel with engraved sides. The large, colorless diamond clearly didn’t compromise on any of the four C’s, taking up much of her left ring finger.

On October 3, the same day her album The Life of a Showgirl was released, Swift appeared on the British radio show Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Emma Bunton and shared more about the ring.

She recalled showing Kelce Lubeck’s work some time ago. “I just thought her stuff was so cool, so I had shown him a video a year and a half ago…And he was paying attention to everything, it turns out…when I saw the ring I was like [gasp], ‘I know who made that!’…He listens to me! Like, you really know me. I didn’t know what I would want, but he did somehow, and that’s kind of a flex.”

“He did amazing!” she added.

Swift is in good company with her bezel-set engagement ring. Earlier this year, Zendaya wore a button-back Jessica McCormack ring to the 2025 Golden Globes, and Charlie McDowell proposed to Lily Collins with a rose-cut bezel ring from designer Irene Neuwirth. Now, Swift is joining their ranks. (Could this be the next big engagement ring trend?)

The pop superstar is also setting the world on fire with the release of her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. For the album’s promotion, Swift turned to Bob Mackie to dress her in authentic, sparkling Jubilee! showgirl costumes, and she now has the perfect piece of bling to match this era. While the new album is filled with bright orange tones, we expect to see Swift wearing plenty of white soon.

It’s a love story, baby, and Taylor Swift said “yes!”
