Last summer, a triangle Burberry bikini in the classic house check was also a must-have, after a sunny, supermodel-filled swimwear campaign helped turn this early 2000s favorite into a cult item. Now—great news for anyone who hates worrying about baggage limits—stylish travelers can get two things done at once, because the brands have teamed up for what looks like the swimwear collaboration of the summer.

Partnering with Burberry is “one hundred percent a dream,” says Hunza G creative director and founder Georgiana Huddart about the limited-edition collection of bikinis, one-piece swimsuits, skirts, and scrunchies—all made from her brand’s signature stretch crinkle fabric and trimmed with instantly recognizable flashes of check. “The idea of collaborating with Burberry has been on my wishlist,” she admits. “I don’t know if this makes me believe in manifestation, but I’ve been casually talking about it with my team for about five years.” Like most London girls, she says, Burberry was “so culturally important to my growing up. You had Victoria Beckham, Oasis, Kate Moss in a trench coat… It covers all these moments that shaped my youth. It was always there.”
Although Hunza G’s stretchy sets have been a staple on beaches from Ibiza to Ischia for ten years now (Huddart relaunched the ’80s label in 2015), partnering with a luxury brand feels like a big step forward. Still, to the designer, the connection between the two was obvious. “We felt we could create something great by combining both brands’ DNA: both are British, both have heritage, and both are category-defining brands that focus on fabric innovation. Hunza hasn’t been around as long, but we were the original users of the crinkle fabric and the first to use it in swimwear.”

Another thing the brands have in common: “We’ve kind of been naturally sharing the same audience,” Huddart says, like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who appeared in that viral Burberry high summer campaign in 2025 alongside Alva Claire, another Hunza favorite. “Rosie was the first major celebrity to find us organically,” the designer explains. “She bought five pieces from the website and just started posting about them.” Alva now appears in the wanderlust-filled campaign for Burberry X Hunza G, which launches today, along with Sacha Quenby and Simone Ashley.

Huddart says she’ll be packing the Tyler bikini for her own summer vacations (“in black, because I’m boring and only wear black”), as well as the Devyn swim skirt. “It can be worn as a tube top or a miniskirt,” she notes. “I like how versatile it is. It gives you more coverage if you wear it as a skirt, but it also looks great with jeans.””I can see a lot of people doing that.”
As for what else is in her luggage? “I’m really tall, so I keep my uniform pretty simple. I always pack black Ray-Bans, a black silk slip dress, black satin trousers, black net Alaïa flats, and a white Hunza shirt. Plus a Burberry tote that I’ve used for travel forever.”
When it comes to dream destinations, Huddart’s preference is straightforward: “Anywhere near the sea with my family,” she says. “I have a nostalgia problem—I always remember everything being sunny and wonderful in the ’90s. So a holiday that feels good to me is one that’s timeless, not necessarily one that reminds me we’re in 2026.”
